My dogs are Kalifa, the talking dachs - buttons and barking. More and more buttons, less and less barking. MΓΌsli, the worried and stubborn Pyrenean shepherd.

Kalifas first conversation with me?

Kalifa had received food about 10-15 minutes before this happened.
Kalifa: presses the button that says "hungry"
Me: No. You just got food.
Kalifa: presses the button that says "No"
Ok, it's new - that she responds with another word after I have given a response. Often she just repeates the same word, if anything.
Me: Okay. I get up and walk towards the kitchen.
Kalifa: presses the "MΓΌsli" button and runs towards the kitchen.
..
I come to the kitchen and see that I forgot to close the child gate that prevents MΓΌsli from eating Kalifa's food. Kalifa eats slowly and often goes back and forth to her food.

Could Kalifa have said that she is hungry because MΓΌsli ate her food?

Today Kalifa pressed the "MΓΌsli" button a couple of times. But, she also followe up by walking to MΓΌsli and standing in front of her the way she does when she wants MΓΌslis attention :-)
