Hello! In short a bit about us, Cedar was a present after graduating university; he’s the best gift ever to say the least. With my fascination of training, development, and psychology I was immediately drawn to the idea of him communicating! Xx

Frustrated but great practice!

Here is Cedar after moving the tiles that we have together. I think we needed to do more β€œpaw” practice as well as spread out the buttons with more tiles nice they arrive!

Hello everyone,
Cedar is my learner, It has almost been an entire year since I got my pup, (June 10, 2020)! With so many areas to train, (mannerisms, crate, off leash, place, etc.) and limited founds it has been a slow yet steady learning process. After graduating/moving, (August 2020) we began the beginning stages of communication/buttons including: modeling the words we wanted him to be able to recognize/use in the future, adding hand signs, and placing the buttons around the house. When my FluentPet tiles arrive I plan to label the button with the corresponding sticker, hopefully help with the visual cue, then keep the buttons were they are around the house. I think this will create a simpler transition of buttons to promote his learning experience! After practicing that I plan to connect all 6 tiles, placing the buttons in a one time spot, and begin recording 24/7. Until those arrive I would love to connect with other pet parents who are participating in this amazing research.
